Rhododendron nuttallii Evergreen grand shrub to little tree. 2 to 5m high, 10 m highest. Elliptic leaf, brown scaled. Terminal 5 to 9 flowers or more, corolla 10 cm long or longer, white, reddish, fragrant. Flowering: Apr and May. Temperate and humid tendency, heliophiles. A bit tolerance to poorness. Himalayan endemic. From the Yaluzangbu River gorge, 1800 to 2400 m, forest and thicket. Bhutan, northeast India.
