R. forrestill subsp.
papillatum Evergreen creeping shrub. 15 to
30 cm tall. Obovate or routund leaf, white
powdered punctate and podoglandular back.
Usu. Single flower, tubular campanulate
corolla, deep red. Flowering: July to Aug.
Cold hygrophiles, heliophiles,
thermolabile. Tolerant to poorness.
Tibetan endemic. Only in Mainling, Bomi
and Medog. 3200 to 4100 m, alpine short
bushes, rocks.
