1. We have been offering CHINA HIKING ADVENTURES for last eight years. I welcome you to call and talk to hikers of our past eight years, to obtain a second opinion from them. I enclosed the reference phone numbers of these reference hikers, in our web-page, for your convenience.

2. Whenever possible, we always hike in the remote areas. Our hiking trails do not share with any automobiles. This will insure safety and comfort as well as to enjoy the unforgettable scenery.

3. The meals are excellent. To verify, please call previous hikers as listed on the reference listing. Since 1996, we have no one being sick due to food or water in-take during the entire hiking trips.

We stay at comfortable three stars hotels, with bathroom and hot shower in your own room.

Bottled mineral water is available for your consumption, if you need additional water supply.

4. The groups are small. The largest group I had in our HIIKING ADVENTURES is 16 hikers.

5. You’ll hike at your own pace for a distance of 8 to 10 km (1 km = 0.621 mile), depending on terrain and weather

6. We have a bus which takes us to the beginning of the hike each day and picks us up at end. It also provides transportation of your luggage to the next hotel down the road while you are hiking. The bus will pick you up at the end of hike. A hot shower is always waiting for you.

7.China Entry VISA application :

According to the Law of the People's Republic of China Concerning the Administration of Foreigners Entering and Leaving the Country, foreign tourists must apply for visas at China's foreign affairs offices, consulates or other organizations authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

8. You can meet us at the VANCOUVER airport or at the Entry Airport of China, if you desire. The main group will fly from Vancouver airport on the specified departure dates. Hikers with any other travel arrangements are responsible to arrive the Port-of-Entry in China at about the same time as the main group. The whole party will leave the Port-of-Entry early next morning. For example: CP 29 departs Vancouver at 1250 on May/13 and arrives Beijing 1510 on May/14.

9. Our hikers come from all ages, from seventeen to seventies. The majority of our hikers are Professionals( medical doctors, lawyers, certified accountants, management consultants and others) and yuppies( people who retired early and have plenty of time, energy and resources to travel). We are flexible and you can hike at your own pace. Drop out points are available At times, we can make it very long and strenuous for hikers who are interested in this fashion.

10. Yes, we can make arrangement for you to have extension of your trip, for example to see the Terra Cotta soldiers in Xian, but this part will be a different trip by another tour company. Or, you can join us trekking for 15 days on GREAT WALL right after the Yellow Mountains tour.

11. The best season to travel in China is Spring (March/April) with lots of wild flowers everywhere. Then, it will be Fall ( September/October) with the changing of Colours in mountains.

12. "I use to think that the GREAT WALL hiking trip was nothing but hiking on cement all day everyday for a period of 15 days, and I was very wrong. There are so much varieties in different parts of the WALL and each day it would be a completely new itinerary with beautiful mountain views, historical sites and cultures... 13. Your Hike-Operator, Tony, is a certified Hike-Leader with the Bruce Trail( with First-Aid, C.P.R. and wilderness leadership training).

He is a Trail Captain and has been a Board member of the Bruce Trail Association, the largest volunteer trail organisation in Canada. Tony, with in-depth experience in leading China Hiking Adventures for years, is fluent in Chinese language. He knows the history, culture and regional geography of China very well. He has good connections in China. He is one of the founding members of American Discovery Trail.
