Once the disabled child received the hearing aid device, a very intensive training was provided for them We used the playing of games to encourage the disabled child in their learning of sound.
The facilities in the training rooms were very primitive when compared with those in the developed countries, but the professionals treated their jobs in a very serious manner. It was because they knew that the future of the child depended on the performance of their work.
The local technician would make every effort to help the development of the disabled child, as shown in the above photo. Each child deserved a lot of tender, love and care.
With the fitting of the correct hearing aid device, the disabled children required a lot patience during the training of Speech Therapy.
Here the disabled children learned how to breathe in the normal way.
Here the disabled children learned in a group session. All these Chinese professionals went through a special training programme before they were qualified to participate in the teaching of the disabled children.
This kind of training not only went on when the child was in school with the professionals, but also went on when the child was at home. So, the parents of the disabled child were also being trained and provided help to the child while at home.
Here two disabled children in the training program were encouraged to engage in normal conversation. These experience would help them in the future to lead a normal life in our sosiety.
Eventually the child graduated from the disabled children school and joined a regular public school. The child is now leading a normal family life at home, like most of other children.
